Silver Lake Library Grand Opening

It was a long awaited event but definitely worth the wait. The neighborhood filled the steps leading up to the library and the street in anticipation of the grand opening ribbon cutting ceremony. Mayor Villigarosa, Councilman Eric Garcetti & Councilman Tom LaBonge all praised the library and the many efforts it took to make it happen. The large open space, expanve area of glass providing natural light and the use of stone, metal & glass is a perfect architectural fit to the community. I’m looking forward to the events & lectures that are planned. Show your support, join the friends of the Silver Lake Library,take out a book or dvd…There will be an open house celebration Nov.21st 10-5pm
